Reconciliation is a backrub in a crowded bar.
It's you telling me to stay over if I'm tired
and it's the way you say it without looking at me.
Reconciliation is me taking off my jeans
and getting in bed with you again.
It's you throwing an arm around my waist
drunk, as usual
asking if my perfume is different this time.
Reconciliation is
"is this okay?"
It's me waking up early
with someone else's name in my mouth
but not saying it.
And it's you remembering that I take my coffee with sugar,
no cream.
Reconciliation is me getting up to pee
and noticing that the red 21 rubberstamped to your hand
has rubbed off on the inside of my thigh.
