No more snow for little match girl, but the weather here has been making up for it with a vengeance. Buffalo NY got seventy-two inches over the past week - even Rochester got a little of it this time, and I haven't had warm toes in almost a fortnight. It's easy to forget how different the days feel in northeastern winters... dark trees and barely-there buildings are the only bridge between white ground and white sky, and days when the sun struggles through the clouds are perpetual twilights. It's also easy to forget just how cold twenty degrees really is.

Hope is the destination that we seek.
Love is the road that leads to hope.
Courage is the motor that drives us.
We travel out of darkness into faith.
~Book of Counted Sorrows

I've added a comments link at the end of every post. It's lowdown and needy and lemming-like of me. Aye.
