This afternoon:
Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain this afternoon. Cooler with highs in the lower 40s. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight:
Rain and snow in the evening. Then snow by midnight. Snow accumulation 4 to 8 inches possible. Breezy and cold with lows in the upper 20s. Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph.

Thursday:
Mostly cloudy with snow likely with a chance of rain in the morning. Then partly cloudy in the afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation. Highs in the mid 40s. North winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 60 percent.

Ariel Rubinstein has made the full text of his five-essay collection, Economics and Language (Cambridge, 2000), available gratis & online.

Rubinstein is one of the most important game theorists around, period. This book is based on lectures he gave on the subject a few years back. It examines the economic (efficient) characteristics of language that may have brought it in to being in the first place.
