Things I saw today:

Bearded man in full Harley regalia, on matching Harley bike with sidecar. Hanging out of sidecar: golden retriever with bandanna, ears flapping. Both grinning.
Man my dad's age, two young children, grandfather, all standing beside a headstone in the small cemetary on Rouse, all holding big Happy Birthday balloons.
Trio of girls on stage, all shorthaired, singing/playing/drumming, having amp difficulties; in a little tiny cozy bar in a big sprawling un-cozy city.
Three deer in the dark in a small stand of trees bounded on all sides by shopping centers, roads, city. We sat and watched with the car off until they walked away, tired of watching us back.

It's been a good day.
